We are remunerated by fees but commissions, or other income credited to the client's account, can offset these.

Corporate Chartered Financial Planner status is an exclusive title. In January 2008 Mearns & Company were one of only six firms in Scotland to have achieved this designation.

We will only give the advice that we consider to be appropriate for you. At the end of the day, however, the decision is yours.

We take pride in communicating clearly with clients. We want you to fully understand all aspects of your financial affairs and we will help you to do this.

We will gather all the necessary information about your financial affairs to enable us to conduct a comprehensive review of them.
We will then send you a report telling you where you are now and what you need to do to achieve your financial goals.
This doesn't happen often but, if it does, we will accept your decision regretfully.
We will then submit a fee for the work we have done and, after its settlement, we will make no further contact with you.
If you change your mind in the future and want to come back, we will be happy to see you.
